A graduate of Montreal’s Dawson College`s Illustration & Design program, Phil has a love for the old and the new, from the Neoclassical artists to the Art Nouveaux commercial posters of Alphonse Mucha. A mixed media artist, designer and photographer, he works mostly in colour pencil, with accents in watercolour, pencils and ink. His art is influenced by his love for music, comics, portraiture, pop culture and chiaroscuro . The focus of his creations is to draw the viewer in by telling a story through hyper visuals, surreal details, exquisite colour and striking composition. Art should look back at you and ask questions, it should grab your attention and never let go. Phil has exhibited his work at various events including Concept Montreal, and Island Blue in Victoria.
